A Good Read is a three-level strategies course, intended for yound adult and adult learners.  The series promotes fluent and effective reading through high interest texts, extensive coverage of reading strategies, and an explicit focus on lexical development.

Each unit introduces a Reading Strategy which is practiced in the Strategy in Focus section.

Three Readings follow with extended practice of the strategy as well as focused lexical development in Word Work exercises.  A Reflection activity at the end of the final reading encourages students to think about what they have learned.
