Bonita E. Broyles
Dr. Bonita Broyles is a former course coordinator and instructor at Piedmont Community College, where she twice received the Faculty Excellence Award, in addition to multiple Outstanding Faculty Awards. She continued her career as a nursing instructor for Columbus Technical Institute, and Patient Teaching and Discharge Planning Coordinator in Gynecology at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus. Currently a part-time nurse and successful Delmar author, Dr. Broyles began working on PHARMACOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF NURSING CARE in its sixth edition, and has written four other Delmar nursing titles. Dr. Broyles earned her B.S.N. from Ohio State University, M.A. in Educational Media from North Carolina Central University, Ed.D. from LaSalle University, and Ph.D. in Adult Education from St. Regis University.

Gayle McKenzie
Gayle McKenzie is a lecturer and third-year coordinator of nursing students at La Trobe University, based at the Alfred Health Clinical School in Melbourne. Gayle has had a number of roles in the school including coordinating a Pharmacology unit and third-year acute nursing subjects, as well as lecturing and tutoring in many other subjects. She is a registered nurse with many years of clinical experience, predominantly in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit at the Alfred Hospital. Her research interests include the use of herbal medications within the population and their effects on patient care. Gayle has authored other texts, including Clinical Companion – Medical-Surgical Nursing, and was the Australian author for the third edition of the ANZ Nursing Drug Handbook.

Sussan Pleunik
Sussan Pleunik was a lecturer at the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF, Vic. Branch), and had an affiliation with La Trobe University. She was a nurse advisor to the Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Health Care and as a Fellow, represented the Australian College of Nursing in an advisory capacity on government panels. She held the position of Clinical Liaison for the Northern Hospital and Melbourne Health for La Trobe University, and was also involved as an industry consultant which included teaching staff in a variety of clinical settings. Sussan was a registered nurse with extensive clinical and educational experience in many states of Australia. Her educational experience included teaching at all tertiary levels

Rachel Page
Associate Professor Rachel Page is Head of School of Health Sciences, Massey University. Rachel has more than 25 years of research experience in the area of metabolism and disease process. Her passion is in understanding the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in the onset and development of disease, with the ultimate aim of identifying therapeutic and diagnostic targets for disease intervention. Rachel has been lead or co-investigator in a number of intervention/clinical trials – WEST headache trial, SPIRIT study, RICE study and GLARE study which have involved diet, education, exercise and alternative treatment strategies. Her current research is in cardiovascular disease, prediabetes, diabetes, diabetic nephropathy, regulation of blood pressure, stroke and chronic pain. Rachel has taught pharmacology at undergraduate and postgraduate level for the past 15 years to nursing, midwifery and health science students and enjoys making the science of drugs relevant and accessible to students at all levels.

Mary E. Evans
Mary E. Evans is the Associate Dean for Research and Doctoral Study at the University of Southern Florida's College of Nursing. Formerly the Principle Research Scientist, Director of the Evaluation Unit, and Assistant Director of Evaluation and Services Research for the New York State Department of Mental Health, her special interest in drug therapy has brought her a wide variety of teaching experiences in the field. Dr. Evans earned her Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Albany, M.S.N. at the University of Pennsylvania, B.S. in Education from Temple University, and R.N. from Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
