  • Karen Roemuss

    Karen Roemuss is a hairdresser and hairdressing educator in Vocational Education and Training. Karen has taught for Pivot Point in Melbourne, the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE, Brisbane School of Hairdressing, and managed the Queensland Hairdressing Academy as well as working with the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN), coordinating apprenticeship training for more than 2,000 trainees and apprentices. Karen is now a consultant to VET, working in instructional design and student engagement, writing new resources to meet training package and ASQA audit requirements. Karen’s qualifications include a Diploma in Vocational Instruction from Griffith University, Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Diploma of Salon Management and a Diploma of Business. Memberships include the Copyright Agency, Institute for Learning Practitioners, Australian Hairdressing Council, and VELG Learning.

    Martin Green is a college lecturer and hairdresser in the UK. He has been a consultant to HABIA and has worked for the awarding organisation City and Guilds, London as a regional verifier.

    Leo Palladino (deceased), had a successful career in hairdressing, technology and education in the UK. He wrote the original chapters on the science of hairdressing, and these became the basis of the Official Guides to Hairdressing, published by Cengage in the UK Diploma in Salon Management
