David W. Beskeen has authored or co-authored numerous successful computer books since 1992, including more than 25 titles for Course Technology. He has guided readers in mastering PowerPoint®, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Windows®, Livemotion and other leading proprietary software packages. An expert in applied technology, Mr. Beskeen has extensive teaching and consulting experience in today’s computer technology.

In addition to co-authoring TECHNOLOGY FOR SUCCESS texts, Jennifer T. Campbell has written and co-authored several other leading technology texts, including DISCOVERING COMPUTERS, DISCOVERING THE INTERNET, WEB DESIGN: INTRODUCTORY, MICROSOFT® EXPRESSION WEB INTRODUCTORY CONCEPTS AND TECHNIQUES, COMPUTER LITERACY BASICS: MICROSOFT® OFFICE 2007 COMPANION and MICROSOFT® OFFICE QUICK REFERENCE POCKET GUIDE. Ms. Campbell has served integral roles in computer textbook publishing as an editor, author and marketing manager. She holds a B.A. in English from The College of William and Mary.

Dr. Mark Ciampa is a Professor of Information Systems in the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Prior to this he was an Associate Professor and served as the Director of Academic Computing at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee for 20 years. Dr. Ciampa has worked in the IT industry as a computer consultant for businesses, government agencies and educational institutions. He has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has written more than 25 technology textbooks, including COMPTIA CYSA+ GUIDE TO CYBERSECURITY ANALYST, SECURITY+ GUIDE TO NETWORK SECURITY FUNDAMENTALS, SECURITY AWARENESS: APPLYING PRACTICAL SECURITY IN YOUR WORLD, CWNA GUIDE TO WIRELESS LANS, and GUIDE TO WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS. Dr. Ciampa holds a Ph.D. in technology management with a specialization in digital communication systems from Indiana State University and has certifications in security and healthcare.

Barbara Clemens has been a writer, editor, software product manager and instructor for more than 30 years. She has worked with Addison-Wesley Publishing, Course Technology and Cengage Learning. Ms. Clemens has edited and written numerous leading Microsoft® Office and Microsoft® Windows textbooks and has created instructional videos and online courses for MS Office.

Carol M. Cram is the author of more than 35 textbooks on computer applications, business communications and Internet-related subjects. Ms. Cram was also a long-time faculty member at Capilano College in North Vancouver, where she served as the Convenor of the Executive Support Program and the Program Consultant for Business and Computers in Continuing Education as well as instructor of business and computer-related courses.

Jennifer Duffy is a freelance author who lives and works in New Hampshire. She has been writing leading texts for Course Technology for more than ten years and has authored previous editions of MICROSOFT® WORD ILLUSTRATED for the popular Office series. Ms. Duffy has worked successfully in the business world as a writer, editor and public relations liaison. She combines her strong business knowledge and expertise in Word with exceptional writing skills that ensure the clarity of this and each of her other books.

Steven M. Freund attended the University of Central Florida and serves as a leader instructor of various Microsoft® Office, computer concepts, programming, and Internet technology courses throughout Central Florida. An integral author for the successful Shelly Cashman Series since 2001, he has presented at the annual customer conference, the Shelly Cashman Series Institute, as well as other customer events. Mr. Freund has co-authored multiple editions of DISCOVERING COMPUTERS, Mozilla Firefox, Windows® Internet Explorer, Windows®, Office, and Dreamweaver books. He has also written numerous successful instructor supplements..

Lisa Friedrichsen is a professor at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, where she teaches database and web development classes. As an author, she has written several prominent Access, Office and Web-related textbooks. Ms. Friedrichsen combines her ability to teach with extensive industry experience to create clear, practical presentations. She has a B.S. in engineering from Iowa State University and an M.B.A. from Drake University. She worked for a decade at IBM Corporation before becoming a consultant, author and college professor.

Mark Frydenberg is a Senior Lecturer of Computer Information Systems at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He also serves as the Director of the CIS Sandbox, Bentley’s technology social learning space, which prepares students to succeed in their CIS courses and to thrive in a technology-driven business world. Professor Frydenberg teaches courses in technology concepts, Python and technology trends. His research focuses on digital literacy, collaborative learning and pedagogies for engaging students with technology. Professor Frydenberg has presented at academic and applied technology conferences and events throughout the U.S. and Europe. He is also an author of several editions of DISCOVERING COMPUTERS, and he authored WEB 2.0 CONCEPTS AND APPLICATIONS in the popular Shelly Cashman Series.

Ralph Hooper has more than 30 years of teaching experience in mathematics and computer science at the university level. His professional interests include data science, machine learning, and computational thinking.

Lisa Ruffolo has served as a technical writer and editor for more than 30 years. She is pursuing an emphasis in operating systems and digital literacy. She has edited top-selling books in the fields of introduction to computing, Microsoft Office, PC repair and computer programming.

Lynn Wermers is a professor in the Computer Science Department at North Shore Community College in Massachusetts, where she teaches IT, data management, data analysis and web development courses. She also teaches part-time in the math department for the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University. Ms. Wermers has authored numerous leading books that focus on Excel for Cengage Learning.
