  • Michael Rosen

Michael Rosen is a 26-year old dental school graduate from the University of Maryland Dental School. Before becoming a dentist, he obtained a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Delaware, where he successfully tutored students in general chemistry. As a student at the University of Delaware, Michael took on the role of a tutor, workshop leader, teaching assistant, and was eventually appointed to the position of group tutor facilitator of the general chemistry courses. Being a student himself, Michael knows exactly how it feels to not understand class material, and has worked with students who have the sinking feeling that they may not make it through the course. It is for that reason he decided to write a book to pass on tips, techniques, and tricks for mastering this difficult subject. This helpful guide includes mnemonic devices, study tips, and example problems with worked out solutions for all topics in general chemistry. THE GUIDE TO SURVIVING GENERAL CHEMISTRY is unique because it is written from the perspective of a student who has tutored many chemistry students, and understands the common pitfalls. Michael Rosen is able to break down the material in a way that students learn best.
