Foundation Mathematics, Second Edition, is written to provide students at the foundation level with an effective learning aid. It can be utilized either as a text or a reference book and tailored to the requirements of the local pre-universities and the matriculation syllabus. It has worked examples and step-by-step solutions every step of the way and new features such as the Checkpoint-Practice and the Sample Examination Paper to offer better guidance to the students and to help them check their own progress along the way. Students will find it easy to understand the basic concepts of algebra and trigonometry as this book is presented in a clear and systematic manner. In addition, this book hopes to impart knowledge and making it a guide to a holistic approach to learning. It wants to create interest in mathematics as a practical tool in solving real-life problems and hopefully promote life-long learning.
