iChinese Books 3 and 4, Second Edition are developed based on the current syllabus for Language B (first examination 2020) in the International Baccalaureate® Diploma Programme (IBDP). This second edition features new, updated content and full coverage of the five prescribed themes in the Language B course. Each coursebook consists of 10 units that are organized around five prescribed themes. Each unit features two main reading passages which engage students in issues of global significance, and develop an awareness and appreciation of perspectives of people from different cultural backgrounds. Through contextualized study of language, texts and themes, students will develop essential interactive, productive and receptive language skills to excel in the IB examination. Book 3 is suitable for students taking Language B at the Standard Level (SL) and Book 4 is suitable for students taking Language B at both the Standard Level (SL) Higher Level (HL).

Victor Bao
Victor Bao (鲍思冶) is Head of Chinese at the PLC Melbourne, Australia. He is an experienced Chinese language teacher of IB and IGCSE who has taught in New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore. Victor is also an IGCSE 0547 examiner and IB examiner and workshop leader. He was a member of the team that developed the new IGCSE 0523 examination.

Chen Draper
Chen Draper (李琛) is Head of High School Chinese at the United World College Southeast Asia (UWCSEA), Singapore. She teaches both IGCSE and IB Chinese. Prior to this, she was Head of Chinese at the prestigious Sevenoaks School, an independent school in the UK. Chen has firsthand and in-depth understanding of both IGCSE and IB assessment and what it takes for students to excel in the exams. She is an experienced regional workshop leader and teacher trainer. She has extensive experience as a workshop presenter at international conferences and regional teacher training courses both in the UK and in Singapore.
